"I had to learn that it's okay that I don't wear a lot of makeup. It's okay that I came from a blue collar family. It's okay that my parents aren't lawyers and I didn't grow up and go to a private school."

Stephanie Jones is the Co-Founder and Owner of Jones Family Law Group. With a passion for helping people, she started out as a social worker. When she discovered how broken the system was, she applied to law school and devoted herself to the practice of family law.

She talks to Cynthia about the importance of authenticity, the factors that lead to divorce, and the many challenges she faced in becoming both an entrepreneur and a lawyer.

As lawyers, we’re expected to have all the answers and be right 1000% of the time…Actually, we are humans. We are going to make mistakes. It’s actually a beautiful opportunity, when we make a mistake, to show up for our clients in the right way, own those mistakes, and then fix them on our dime. It’s really that simple. You actually deepen a relationship.
