Origin of the Name

The Ski Lift inspires She Lift

What if it were easier for women to achieve career excellence? That was the whole premise for starting this community. We want to help women get to the top of their field.

If a ski lift takes people to the top of the mountain, then maybe a “She Lift” would take women to the top of the mountain in their careers. We added “project” to the name because this will be a work in progress, evolving as the needs of our community evolve..

Cynthia Kirkpatrick

As a Senior Financial Advisor at Moneta Group, Cynthia Kirkpatrick began pursuing a path to Partner. In such a male dominated industry, she found it challenging to find female perspectives on how to best achieve her career goals.

Cynthia discovered that successful women in other industries faced the same obstacles, and wondered if it might be helpful to form a group to fill this gap.

With the help and support of many other professional ladies, Cynthia founded the She Lift Project.
